Efforts for Community Revitalization: Sponsorship of the "32nd Shibuya Sakuragaoka Cherry Blossom Festival Sakura-zaka Cherry Blossom Light-Up"

GMO Internet Group sponsored the "32nd Shibuya Sakuragaoka Cherry Blossom Festival Sakura-zaka Cherry Blossom Light-Up" with the purpose of revitalizing Shibuya, where its headquarters is located.

This event was held for a month from March 10 to April 10, 2024, around "Sakura-zaka" in Sakuragaoka, Shibuya-ku, near the Cerulean Tower, the Group's first headquarters.

The lighting illumination in a cherry blossom tunnel along the approximately 130-meter-long "Sakura-zaka" walkway, attracted not only Japanese but also many foreign tourists. Visitors were enchanted by the beautifully lit cherry blossoms, a symbol of Japanese spring.

This year’s festival marked the first "Cherry Blossom Festival" since the COVID-19 was reclassified to Category 5, and more people than usual visited the festival.

Thus, GMO Internet Group partners (employees) also participated as volunteers, working with Shibuya Ekimae Kyoeikai, the organizer of the festival, to support tourists to enjoy the cherry blossoms safely.
