iSLE and RapidSite to Offer GlobalSign SSL Server Certificates
Tokyo – July 10, 2007 -- GMO Hosting & Security today introduces the GlobalSign brand SSL server certificate, Quick Authentication SSL to its two major hosting brands iSLE and RapidSite. The certificate will be available as the new optional service, Unique SSL (Global Sign). GlobalSign brand digital certificate services are provided by GlobalSign K.K. GMO Hosting & Security is part of the GMO Internet Group.
Background
In a heterogeneous hosting service market, digital certificates not only perform the function of providing public certificate authority verification that a web site is reliable, they also play the vital role of fostering trust in a diverse customer base. Brands like iSLE and RapidSite that provide a wide range of services to an even wider customer base must provide digital certificates that meet the needs of each customer.
These GMO-HS brands recognize this need and have selected GlobalSign, a company with a strong reputation and vast range of SSL server digital certificates, as SSL provider for their hosting services.
Unique SSL (GlobalSign)
Unique SSL is an SSL server certificate that verifies a unique domain. Unlike the iSLE Shared SSL and RapidSite Shared Authentication SSL services, this certificate allows SSL pages to be individually managed by domain name URL. This gives users assurance that access to the site added trust and peace of mind. Online vetting allows the GlobalSign Quick Authentication SSL (offered by iSLE and RapidSite as Unique SSL [GlobalSign]) to be issued in just 2 minutes thus reducing costs and eliminating complex application procedures. GlobalSign SSL Server Certificates
