Opening of the iSLE WEB1 Grand Prix 2007
Tokyo – October 15, 2007 – GMO Hosting & Security hosting brand, iSLE announces the start today of the iSLE WEB Grand Prix. The Grand Prix runs through to December 14 and is open to all web sites, blogs, and online stores. The iSLE WEB1 Grand Prix was first held in 2006 to promote the Internet as a communication tool. GMO Hosting & Security is a GMO Internet Group company.
The iSLE WEB1 Grand Prix 2007 aims to showcase fun and interesting web communication and is open to anyone with a web site, blog or net shop. We have put together a judging panel of well known Internet and IT industry experts who will be seeking creativity, originality and fresh ideas.
This year, iSLE has added a new award. The ecology award recognizes iSLE’s endorsement of and participation in Team Minus 6%, an environment ministry global warming prevention project.

*A national global warming prevention project aimed at reducing greenhouse gas emissions by 6%.
Japan is obligated under the 2005 Kyoto protocol to reduce it’s emission of CO2 and other greenhouse gasses to 6% below 1990 levels between 2008 and 2012.
