Hosting Brand iSLE to Host Free IT Seminars for Small and Medium Business

Tokyo – February 13, 2007 --The GMO Hosting & Security hosting brand, iSLE, will host regular free seminars aimed at small, medium and SOHO businesses. Under the theme of IT for small, medium and SOHO businesses in Japan the seminars will cover a range of IT related business concepts.
The first seminar, IT Strategy for Succeeding in a New Era will be held on Friday February 23 in Minato-ku, Tokyo.
Small and medium businesses make up a large majority of Japanese business and are the core of the Japanese economy.
Although more small and medium businesses are developing IT systems that improve business value, many are no yet seeing benefits like increased efficiency, more effective information transmission and reduced costs. iSLE holds regular free seminars that address these issues. The seminars will introduce a variety of IT tools including websites, blogs, online stores and groupware. They will then go on to provide an analysis and present effective implementation methods in an easy to understand format.
We have invited Takaki Kamimura to speak at our first seminar, a freelance journalist and consultant who in addition to writing has made many television appearances and is active on the lecture circuit. Kamimura will speak about businesses that have succeeded in implementing IT that has achieved management reform as well as effective IT development methods for small and medium businesses seeking to address management reform.

Keynote Speaker Profile: Takaki Kamimura
Takaki Kamimura graduated from Aoyama Gakuin University Economics department and gained experience in an IT firm before entering Nikkei Business Publications in 1980. As a reporter he took part in the planning process for the new magazine Nikkei Computer and became editor of the relaunched Nikkei Information Strategy. He was responsible for the popularity of SIS (Strategy Information System), management information systems and electronic accounting books.
In 2003 he devised and launched IT Management, management strategy and IT solutions for succeeding in the 21st century. He has also worked in the role of both producer and presenter on a number of television programs.
After three years service beginning in 2001 on the Tokyo Chamber of Commerce IT Promotion Committee, he became chair of the Ministry of Economy Trade and Industry IT management support committee.
Kamimura resigned from Nikkei Business publications in April 2005 and is currently engaged as a freelance journalist and consultant. He also holds associate professorships at the Kanazawa Institute of Technology and the Graduate Institute for Entrepreneurial studies.
