MakeShop Launches Two New Features
 
Tokyo – October 30, 2007 – GMO Internet Group company MakeShop, the company that operates the net shop construction ASP service of the same name, today launches two new functions aimed at improving net shop usability and making customer support more efficient. The new Navi Cast LPO* service more efficiently guides the customer to the product page they are looking for and the Navi Cast Call service is a telephone support intermediary service.
 
*LPO (Landing Page Optimization) :Ensures that the page that the user first arrives at in a site (the landing page) contains the information most appropriate to the users’ needs based on their search keywords, IP address, time etc.
 
When a shop visitor is able to move smoothly from the product page to the inquiry form to the order form usability is increased and this can have a major influence on business. 

MakeShop supports good customer communication through the two functions Navi Cast and Navi Cast Call. After signing up for the services the customer can access the tag entry form from their administration screen for easy set up of the system.
 
Navi Cast

The Navi Cast function effectively guides customers to the product they are looking for by automatically displaying an appropriate navigation banner for each individual customer.
Features
The navigation bar displayed is based on customer access information (the site the customer was viewing prior to visiting the store [link], number of accesses, current location, the length of time they have spent at the store etc.), their search history within the site and other factors that help to determine the optimal information for each user. The navigation bar is capable of incorporating images and sound, it helps to prevent customers leaving the store before they have found the product they were looking for.

Navi Cast Call

This telephone support service connects the customer and the net shop representative through the Navi Cast Call Support Center. Complicated inquiry forms and concerns about the risk of providing personal information such as telephone numbers may deter users from making an inquiry on your site.

1. Easy to Access Inquiries Function
We have solved the problem of contact details being hard to locate on your site, simply place a Navi Cast Call telephone inquiries icon on your web site. When the customer clicks on the icon a pop up window appears and a video message appears that provides an explanation of your site making it easy to use.
2. Call Returned at the Customers’ Convenience
The customer can select a time to speak to a representative of your store. At the appointed time our Navi Cast Call support center will call both the customer and the net shop and connect the two parties.
3. Customers Can Feel Safe Giving out their Phone Number
The Navi Cast Call Support Center connects the customer and the net shop so the store does not hold the customers’ telephone number. The customer can feel safe using the telephone support center.
4. No Phone Charges for the Customer
The support center calls the customer; the customer makes no calls and therefore pays no phone charges.
