Paperboy&co. Releases SNS Tool For Online Store Construction Service Color Me Shop! pro
Tokyo – December 20, 2007 – GMO Internet Group company, paperboy&co. announces today the launch of Staff Room, a new SNS tool for online store operators now available as an option with the shopping cart ASP service Color Me Shop! pro.
Color Me Shop! pro is a low priced shopping cart ASP service developed by paperboy&co. in February 2005. The service allows users to set up and manage an online store over the Internet in a similar way to that in which they would operate a blog. Color Me Shop! pro has created approximately 14,000 stores to date.
The new option is based on the paperboy&co. SNS construction service Grouptube. Staff Room is a business SNS service developed especially for Color Me Shop! pro online store operators. For 525 yen a month online stores can create and manage a staff SNS for up to five users from the online store administration screen.
Background to the Launch of Staff Room
Staff Room is a sophisticated SNS construction and management tool that handles up to five users and is similar to Grouptube, a service widely used among businesses and other organizations.
Paperboy&co. recognizes the importance of connecting e-commerce and SNS. This is the first time in the e-commerce industry that a shopping cart system has been bundled with an SNS construction tool. The aim is to provide a low-cost tool that enables online store operators to experience the usability of original SNS. We believe that SNS is set to become an important marketing tool and avenue of communication between customer and online store.
Staff Room Features
Staff Room offers the same features as Grouptube; in addition to standard SNS functions like diary, comments, messages and groups, the service offers file-sharing, schedule management, to do memos and many other groupware features. This tool boosts business efficiency by facilitating information sharing between staff and allowing each staff member access to schedule management and online file sharing for sales reports and other documents.
Staff Room access analysis options also make it possible to automatically upload daily sales and site access reports.
The service is accessible from the online shop administration screen so users can access it from home or work. Uploading and viewing features are also accessible by mobile phone.

Color Me Shop! pro stores can strengthen sales by participating in Calamel, an online shopping portal site exclusively for Color Me Shop! pro stores. The service is widely recognized as a valuable tool for users looking to create a serious online store at minimal expense.
Grouptube
Grouptube is an SNS construction ASP service launched by paperboy&co. in March 2006. Even beginners can create a fast, low cost SNS simply by entering the required information over the Internet and taking advantage of the wide range of available functions. To date Grouptube has been used to create around 5,500 communities.
