Tokyo – February 14, 2008 -- GMO Internet Group company, MakeShop announces that the number of users of MakeShop online store construction ASP service has today exceeded 10,000. This achievement comes three years and three months after the service was first launched.
To celebrate this milestone we are giving away free onamae.com domain registrations beginning today in our “10,000 stores celebration” campaign.
MakeShop makes operating a shop on the Internet easy and fun. The sophisticated yet low priced online store construction ASP service was first launched in November 2004. Since then over 10,000 individuals, SMEs, specialist stores and large retailers have used MakeShop to get their businesses online. In the first two and a half years of operation MakeShop helped open 5,000 online stores, however following a recent surge in growth, the service took just 9 months to reach 10,000 stores.
