Tokyo – April, 3, 2008 - iSLE, (URL: http://isle.jp/) the hosting brand by GMO Hosting & Security, Inc. of the GMO Internet Group is pleased to announce that it began offering the latest server operating system, Microsoft® Windows Server® 2008 Standard Edition, on Thursday, April 3, 2008. The new system is being offered as part of the Custom Series dedicated server hosting service. Red Hat Enterprise Linux ES 5.0 and CentOS 5 operating systems have also been made available for the Custom Series, making it possible to customize iSLE’s dedicated server hosting service in 918 ways.
Microsoft® Windows Server® 2008 Standard Edition, the most recent server operating system, will be officially launched by Microsoft on April 15 this year. It offers numerous new functions, including next generation web technology, Internet Information Services 7.0 (IIS 7.0), and both Windows PowerShell™ and Server Manager, to reduce server administration workload. With these capabilities, the server operating system has won acclaim as one of the most reliable, manageable, robust and flexible Windows Server OSs to date, with the ability to handle differing scales of business and a wide range of applications.
iSLE has been providing hosting services with Windows Server® since 2002.
