Paperboy&co. Launches Private Use Online Photo Album
Tokyo – April 10, 2008 – GMO Internet Group company paperboy&co. today launches 30days Album, the online photo album for easy sharing of photos between friends.
Through services such as the Lollipop! Rental Server and Petit Home Page Service, paperboy&co. provides a space for showcasing photography and other creative works. The new service, 30days Album for those who want to simply show photos, is an online photo album that will display photos for 30 days.
An Online Photo Album to Enjoy with Family, Friends, and Partners
30days Album is a unique online album in which all members can participate by adding photos and leaving comments. A password is required to access the album and this is set by the album creator. The album creator only shares the password with those they would like to view the album making it an easy way to privately share photos online. Those who view the album (other than the creator) are not required to register their e-mail addresses or other details; the user need only enter the password to access an album, post photos or add comments.
The album is available for 30 days, photos and comments can be added for as long as the album is on display. Ten days after the end of the 30 days users can download all photos and comments to a PC.
This private album is the ideal space for sharing the growth of a grandchild with distant grandparents, sharing photos with friends after having travelled together, or as a space to post pictures taken at a wedding.
30days Album: Usability
In the development of the 30days Album, unlike the construction of a regular server, we have built a service based on a server constructed specifically for the uploading and viewing of images. We have created an environment that ensures users won’t experience long delays when uploading or displaying photos.
Simple keyboard controls allow the user to view photos and enjoy the online photo album.
30days Album: Feature Expansion
In June we plan to add a photo album printing feature provided in partnership with a photo print service company. Other fee-based options including extended time and an increase in the maximum number of albums permitted are also expected to be available by the end of the year.
