GMO Hosting & Security Introduces Junk Mail Filter Option in Collaboration with Trend Micro
Tokyo – April 16, 2008 – GMO Internet Group company GMO Hosting & Security and Trend Micro Incorporated announce a new option, Junk Mail Filter (Trend Micro) to be availablefrom April 22 with the Windows Collaboration Hosting Service provided by hosting brands, iSLE and RapidSite.
According to Nippon Information Communications Association, the cost to the economy (impact on GDP) of handling junk mail has risen to 730 billion yen*1. It is now clear that junk mail can seriously impact business activity.
GMO Hosting & Security believes strongly in Trend Micro messaging security solutions. Junk Mail Filter (Trend Micro) is based on Trend Micro junk mail prevention services. This option is available with the Windows Collaboration Hosting Service, a service with broad appeal among business users.

Junk Mail Filter (Trend Micro)
Junk Mail Filter (Trend Micro) is a junk mail service constructed around Trend Micro InterScan Messaging Security Suite, the messaging gateway security software by Trend Micro. Junk mail is blocked before it passes through the internal network of the server running Windows Collaboration Hosting Service. This results in a major reduction in network traffic and prevents damage to the network caused by junk mail. In addition users can expect faster mail response and a faster system overall. The combination of the mail virus removal function that is already a standard feature of Windows Collaboration Hosting Service and the new Junk Mail Filter (Trend Micro) provides an even higher level of security.
Junk Mail Filter (Trend Micro) is provided as an ASP service allowing customers to achieve a secure messaging environment without complicated set up procedures. In addition, because fees for the Windows Collaboration Hosting Service are charged on a per contract basis, customers can set up as many mail accounts as they need while minimizing investment costs.
