iCLUSTA First in Hosting Industry to Receive Information Disclosure concerning ASP/SaaS Security and Reliability Certification
Tokyo – May 26, 2008 – GMO Hosting & Security hosting brand iSLE announces that shared server hosting service iCLUSTA has been certified compliant with the “Guidelines for Information Disclosure concerning ASP/SaaS Security and Reliability”. Of the six companies accredited in this first round of certification, GMO Hosting & Security was the only company in the hosting service industry.
Information Disclosure concerning ASP/SaaS Security and Reliability Certification
The Information Disclosure concerning ASP/SaaS Security and Reliability certification is based on the Guidelines for Information Disclosure concerning ASP/SaaS Security and Reliability and was launched this year by the Foundation for MultiMedia Communications. The guidelines were initially released by the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications in November 2007 in response to a proliferation of ASP and SaaS services. ASP/SaaS services and service providers are evaluated on the appropriate information disclosure of information relating to security and trust. Services and service providers who meet evaluation standards receive certification and the names of certified parties are then made public. The certificate will help organizations, SMEs and general users to compare, evaluate, and select services.
