GMO Payment Gateway Launches New SaaS Service for Handling Multiple Payment Methods
Tokyo – July 22, 2008 -- GMO Internet Group remote credit card payment processing company, GMO Payment Gateway announces the launch of PG Multi Payment Service for centralized processing of payments received by credit card, electronic money, through Internet banking or via convenience store. The new service will be available from September 1 and applications will be accepted beginning in August.

PG Multi Payment Service is a SaaS service that processes multiple payment methods on One Payment Gateway. Credit card, convenience store, electronic money, Internet and mobile banking, ATM and other payments methods can be handled with a single payment processing gateway system from one administration page.
By providing customers with a wider array of payment options businesses can improve the overall efficiency of their service. The service is easy to implement so a number of payment methods can be trialed and only the required methods maintained. Processing and administration of all payments is carried out from one web page. This service increases operational efficiency and is ideal not only for businesses offering a new online service but also for existing e-commerce businesses looking to upgrade their payment processing systems.
PG Multi Payment Service: Payment Methods
●Credit Card
This service includes the safe, high functionality, easy-to-implement SaaS service, PG Credit Card Payment Processing Service. Three plans are available (Entry, Standard, Advanced) for different business sizes, environments, and payment plans.
●Convenience Store
Your customers will be able to pay you at any major convenience store throughout Japan 24 hours a day 365 days a year.
●Electronic Money
Accept payments in Edy, Mobile Edy, and Mobile Suica electronic money so your customers can pay by mobile phone.
* Edy is a pre-paid electronic money service managed by bitWallet Inc.
* Mobile Suica is a registered trademark of East Japan Railway Company
● Internet Banking / Mobile Banking / ATM
Offer customers the option of anytime, anywhere payment with Internet and mobile banking services offered by banks and other financial institutions. Accept payment at financial institutions ATMs (excluding some financial institutions).

Background
In 2006 the BtoC e-commerce market had grown 27.1% from the previous year to 4.4 trillion yen*1 and was continuing to expand. The most widely used method of payment in e-commerce remains the credit card which accounts for 51.9% *2 of online transactions. However a greater range of payment options is now available including payment at a convenience store, by Internet banking or with electronic money. There has been strong demand from online merchants for a multi-payment processing service.

Advance applications for the service will be accepted from both new and existing customers beginning in August and the service is slated for release on September 1.
