GMO Mobile Launches Free Mobile News and Entertainment Site
Tokyo – July 29, 2008 – GMO AD Partners mobile media subsidiary GMO Mobile has opened a new mobile phone news and entertainment site. The new site, Yomerumo will also feature two popular MAG Garden Corporation comic strips, Neko Rahmen and Nakayoshi Koen.
Yomerumo
Yomerumo is a free service updated daily that offers entertainment news, general news, columns, and comic strips. Users can opt to receive popular articles each day through Nikkan Yomerumo News (circulation: 600,000), an e-mail newsletter distributed by Merumo (GMO Mobile), one of Japan’s leading e-mail distribution services. Yomerumo is opening with comic strips and plans to further expand its entertainment content.
Neko Rahmen (Creator: Kenji Sonishi) This is a four-panel comic strip serial that appears in MAG Garden’s monthly magazine COMIC BLADE. Volumes 1-3 of the series have been published. This cartoon is also broadcast on a Tokyo MXTV anime program popular for a format that features flash animations by different creators. The cartoon has reached the number one position on Yahoo! Video (Japan) and the DVD and other program merchandising are selling fast. |

GMO Mobile is expanding its content with the introduction of the new site providing a better service for both new and existing users.
MAG Garden aims to broaden its fan base by providing content to approximately 1 million GMO Mobile users.
