GlobalSign and Yahoo Japan Develop New Authentication Services
Tokyo – August 14, 2008 – GMO Hosting & Security consolidated subsidiary and digital certificate service provider, GlobalSign K.K. together with Yahoo Japan Corporation is set to launch new authentication services. GlobalSign has over ten years experience issuing SSL and other digital certificates. The new services, slated for release this fall, add even more value to GlobalSign products by including a listing on the Yahoo! JAPAN web site. GlobalSign and Yahoo Japan continue to seek opportunities to work together in creating never before available, high value services. GMO Hosting & Security is a GMO Internet Group Company.
Service Features
The collaboration will offer three new services; Organization Validation Certificate Services, Domain Verification SSL Server Certificate Services, and a combination of the two, Organization Validation + Domain Verification SSL.
We offer a site seal for each service enabling visitors to a web site to tell at glance that the provider has been authenticated and that they are visiting a trusted site. In addition, customers using Organization Validation Certificate Services will have their sites listed on leading Japanese portal site, Yahoo! JAPAN.
These services increase trust in our customer’s web sites. GlobalSign will be chiefly responsible for provision of organization validation and SSL server certificates while Yahoo! JAPAN will list links to certified company web sites.

GlobalSign is the preferred Certificate Authority of the eID*(BELPIC) project and provides validation for the Belgium government Certificate Authority.
