HOSTING & SECURITY Announces VPS Service Collaboration between FC2 and WEBKEEPERS™
Tokyo – January 7, 2009 – GMO Hosting & Security consolidated subsidiary, HOSTING & SECURITY announces a VPS service collaboration with US company, FC2.
The objective of the new alliance is to expand the H&S VPS service business while broadening the FC2 hosting service line up. VPS services by H&S hosting brand, WEBKEEPERS™ will be available through FC2 from January 20. FC2 is a provider of free Internet services and hosting services. GMO Hosting & Security is a GMO Internet Group company.
VPS Service
VPS (Virtual Private Server) replicates a dedicated server environment on a shared server combining the flexibility of a dedicated service with the convenience of a shared service. The H&S VPS service is a low cost service that offers 10GB of disk space and allows multiple domains. We also give the customer root authority allowing them flexibility when building their server environment. The service is easily operated using PLESK8 the administration tool also used with our shared server service. .
WEBKEEPERS™ Features
1. Server Management in the Latest Security Environment
We provide the latest security to protect against the ever increasing threat of unauthorized access to web servers, mail servers, database servers, and applications.
2. An Extensive Range of Options and Uniform Operation
WEBKEEPERS shared server, VPS and dedicated server services cater to diverse hosting needs. All services use the same PLESK8 server administration tool as well as the same operating systems, languages, database versions etc. This allows customers to transition smoothly when upgrading services. It also simplifies operation for customers managing multiple accounts.
