GMO MAKESHOP Launches Official Release of Reservation Shop
Tokyo – January 29, 2009 – GMO Internet Group company, GMO MAKESHOP today launches the official release of Reservation Shop, the ASP/SaaS service that integrates reservation capabilities into a web site construction tool for hotels, restaurants, hair salons and other businesses. At the same time we announce an expanded feature set for the service including new design template and the ability to manage reservations by the hour.
Reservation Shop is a web site construction service with reservation capability designed for hotels, restaurants and other businesses that are required to take bookings. The beta version was released on December 2 last year and in just two months has been adopted by over 80 online stores (as of Jan 20, 2009).
Alongside the launch of the official release we announce the expansion of the Reservation Shop feature set. The service now includes functions for a wide range of businesses including hotels, restaurants and hair salons. Businesses that take full advantage of Reservation Shop functions can use the service to boost the effectiveness of their company web site.
More Reservation Shop Features: Manage Reservations by the Hour
Bookings can now be managed by time, a feature ideal for restaurants, hair salons and other businesses that require detailed in their reservations.
(eg 1) At a restaurant: A reservation for four people at a non-smoking table from 8pm.
(eg 2) At a hair salon: A reservation next Saturday from 1pm with stylist X.
New Design Template
A new design template has been added for restaurants. Going forward we will continue adding templates and functions for a range of industries.
