Yaplog! Blog Service Receives Community Site Safety Certification
Tokyo – March 2, 2009 – GMO Media operated blog service, yaplog! has received EMA (Content Evaluation and Monitoring Association) accreditation for compliance with Community Site Operation and Management Structure Standards.
Yaplog! has always strived to maintain its community site as a safe platform for information exchange. We now strengthen that commitment by introducing independent surveillance and obtaining an accreditation that recognizes compliance with EMA standards.
EMA Community Site Operation and Management Structure Accreditation
Community Site Operation and Management Structure Accreditation seeks to ensure a safe usage environment for young people by recognizing compliance with EMA certification standards in sites containing user-generated content. EMA also functions as a surveillance authority and receives complaints, inquiries, and feedback from users in regard to accredited sites.
The certification also ensures that the site is removed from the specified site list in filtering services operated by cell phone carriers.
