paperboy&co. Online Shopping Mall, Calamel Launches Affiliate Program, Calamel Affiliate
Tokyo – June 15, 2009 – paperboy&co. online shopping mall Calamel, announces the launch today of Calamel Affiliate an affiliate program for website and blog owners.
Launched in April 2006, the Calamel shopping mall handles over 2 million products including rare or one-of-a-kind pieces, and handmade goods. Site content includes product recommendations from store owners, features covering latest trends, and information on seasonal events.
Calamel Affiliate is a program that allows bloggers and website owners to place an introduction to a Calamel products on their site and earn GMO Toku-Toku points* when a purchase is made as a result of the introduction. GMO Toku-Toku points are redeemable at Calamel shopping mall.
*GMO Toku-Toku point program operated by GMO Media Holdings is the GMO Internet Group point service.
A range of stylish frames
The greatest feature of Calamel Affiliate is that it allows the user to choose a frame to suit their blog or website. Of course it is possible to simply display an image of the product, however users can also select from a range of frames including “notepad”, “handmade”, and “magazine”.
A total of seven frames are available in two different sizes. Different frames and sizes can be applied to each product introduction placed.
Not only does Calamel Affiliate offer a source of income, it is also brightens a web page!
A simple two-step affiliate program
The easy two step process enables bloggers and website owners to start using Calamel Affiliate for free after completing a MyCalamel registration and agreeing to the affiliate terms of use.
After logging into MyCalamel, the user selects the product they wish to place on their site, clicks on the “affiliate link” button and pastes the tag created onto their blog or website.
Shop using points earned
Calamel Affiliate pays 1% of the product sale (not including tax/delivery) in GMO Toku-Toku points for each purchase resulting from an introduction on a blog or website. GMO Toku-Toku points are credited 21 days after the purchase is made for amounts greater than 1 point (1 yen), and are redeemable when 50 points have been accumulated. Points can be used for shopping at Calamel and are also exchangeable for cash.

Calamel is an online shopping mall comprised exclusively of stores constructed using the ASP tool, ColorMeShop! pro. ColorMeShop! pro is an easy-to-use, feature-rich online store builder available from 875 yen a month. Features include flexible design customization functions and a mobile store construction tool. Store owners pay 3.5% commission on sales and there is no additional charge for the usage of Calamel Affiliate.
