Partnership between Free Blog Service, JUGEM and News Community Site AFP BB News Allows Bloggers to Include News Articles and Images in their Blogs
Tokyo – April 4, 2007 --The free paperboy&co. blog service JUGEM has joined in a partnership with AFP BB, the news community site jointly operated by AFP and Creative Link Corporation. Beginning today users will be able to post blogs containing news articles from AFP BB News. Paperboy&co. is a GMO Internet Group company.
The JUGEM blog service was launched in February 2004 and has since then attracted over 390,000 bloggers, particularly women between their teens and thirties. JUGEM includes the PostAssist system that provides themes and community tools aimed at encouraging users to post regular blog entries. The tie-up with AFP BB allows us to deliver a new function that lets users incorporate new articles into their blogs.
AFP BB News Partnership
AFP BB News is a news community site that provides high quality images and news from the worldwide networks of Agence France Presse (AFP), one of the top three international news agencies in the world and the largest media institution in France.
The new partnership between AFP BB news and JUGEM gives users a quality news source to include in their blogs. AFP BB News images are copyright protected by unique electronic watermark technology so there is no risk of copyright infringement issues.
Post Assist News Function
PostAssist is a convenient system that makes the process of posting a blog even more convenient. A simple form is included on the blog posting screen and a range of channels such as news and reviews have been created. Each channel has its own upload screen format. The user posts an entry by switching to the relevant channel. The new news function allows users to incorporate news articles into their blogs by selecting the AFP BB news article from the JUGEM administration screen. The blog entry is linked by trackback to the original news article so that other bloggers with an interest in the same article can easily track it down.
The new function has been provided to facilitate the exchange of ideas on current events between users and to help them discuss the latest current affairs in their blogs.
JUGEM
JUGEM is a free blog service that offers flexibility and an easy-to-use interface. The service was launched by paperboy&co. on February 13, 2004.
