GMO Media Launches Android Application for freeml
Tokyo – July 14, 2010 – GMO Internet Group company, GMO Media today launches an Android application for its popular mailing list community, freeml. The new application follows the release earlier this year of the freeml iPhone application.
About the freeml Android Application
One of Japan’s leading free mailing list services, freeml has been operating for over ten years and has more than 6.2 million users. Packed with groupware features freeml is an ideal tool sharing schedules, photos or files among groups of coworkers, friends or club members.
In April this year we launched an iPhone application for freeml. The Android application was developed featuring the same tools with the objective of making freeml available to an even wider audience.
Multiple Accounts
Users who have separate accounts for business and personal use, can access both mailing lists from within the app without having to switch between accounts.
Mobile Mailing List Access
In addition to being able to send out mail to member lists, it is also possible to view past mails under Mailing List Membership, Mail list, and Mail Details views. In addition, the number of unread emails in each mailing list is displayed, reminding the user that they have mail to read.
Android Contacts List Access
Invite up to ten friends or business associates at once directly from the Android contacts list to participate in mailing lists. Easy-to-edit invitation message.
