GMO Hosting & Security Joins with SKYARC and Six Apart to Launch “Movable Type Enterprise SaaS Solutions”
Tokyo – August 18, 2010 – SKYARC System, GMO Hosting & Security, and Six Apart today announce that the three companies have partnered to develop and distribute Movable Type Enterprise SaaS Solutions, solutions optimized for corporate and large-scale websites that demand high-security, stability and flexibility.
MTESS will offer Six Apart’s web publishing software, Movable Type 5 and web publishing software for enterprise, Movable Type Advanced pre-installed on a secure, high-performance GMO-HS web hosting server and operated by SKYARC. SKYARC, with a proven track record in operating and designing corporate websites, will also be responsible for server maintenance and service sales.
In addition to regular content management, Movable Type’s comprehensive set of features designed for corporate and large scale websites includes a flexible approval system, the ability to restrict access to specified pages, mobile pages, Smartphone compatibility, an inquiry form function, Gumblar monitoring, a rich text editor, security updates, and server network maintenance.
Two MTESS service options are available. The starter plan allows users to get started operating a simple, low-cost content management system on a single server, and the load balancer plan introduces more advanced security and load balancing features and comprises three servers.

- Starter Plan: Set-up Fee 315,000 yen / Monthly Fees 104,790 yen (inc. tax)
- Load Balancer Plan: Set-up Fee 2,625,000 yen / Monthly Fees 522,900 yen (inc. tax)
- Advanced Plan: Set-up Fee 1,260,000 yen / Monthly Fees 31,500 yen (inc. tax)
* Movable Type 5 comes pre-installed with all MTESS services, however customers who select the Advanced Plan may opt to upgrade to a Movable Type Advanced license that can be used across multiple organizations or branches.
