GMO AD Partners and paperboy&co. open new media research and development entity, Sanow Labs
Tokyo – October 8, 2010 – GMO AD Partners today announces that it has acquired shares in fellow GMO Internet Group company paperboy&co. and established a new research entity that will focus on advanced ad technologies and leveraging the social graph to expand next generation Internet media and business solutions
GMO AD Partners is establishing Sanow Labs (headed by Shintaro Takahashi) to complement its media development initiatives in the field of mobile media and to focus on social media research and development. Paperboy&co. will also cooperate with Sanow Labs research and development as will Unoh, Inc., Exys, Inc. and Indi Software Co., Ltd.
Background to the Establishment of Sanow Labs
GMO AD Partners is a media sales agency and search engine marketing provider that also develops its own mobile media. Paperboy&co, established in 2005, has always supported staff-driven service development through initiatives including development “bootcamp” that emphasizes fast and intuitive development. The company continues to support research and development in leading edge technology and services.
By coming together and leveraging the strengths of the two companies, GMO AD Partners and paperboy&co. Inc. aim to develop next generation media in the fast growing social media field.
