GRANDBASE, Inc. Becomes Consolidated Subsidiary
Tokyo – December 27, 2010 –GMO Internet Group company paperboy&co. announces that a Board of Directors meeting convened today resolved to make GRANDBASE, Inc. - operator of design portal site CBCNET and producers of design conference, APMT – a consolidated subsidiary. The company subsequently acquired 85% of outstanding shares in GRANDBASE.
Established in December 2005, new subsidiary GRANDBASE operates CBCNET (http://www.cbc-net.com/) a design portal website devoted to web and graphic design, in addition to producing design conference APMT (http://www.apmt.jp/) and operating publisher PANORAMA (http://www.pnrm.jp/). APMT, in particular makes a significant contribution to the design industry through inspiring creative conferences. Paperboy&co. already operates a number of services for creative individuals including web hosting solution heteml (http://heteml.jp/).
Paperboy&co. believes that the acquisition of GRANDBASE will further build corporate value and customer appeal.
Going forward, paperboy&co. aims to strengthen its brand and increase competitiveness through the websites and events operated by GRANDBASE.
