Android™ Game Platform G-Gee to Deliver Premium Content via Samsung GALAXY S II Game Hub
Tokyo, Japan – August 8, 2011 – GMO GameCenter, operator of Android game platform G-Gee, today announces it will distribute selected G-Gee titles through the Game Hub game application market on GALAXY S II and other Samsung Android devices. The new game distribution partnership between Samsung and G-Gee will kick-off in October when G-Gee content becomes available through Game Hub in 25 European countries.
Android game platform, G-Gee first opened in Japan last year distributing a mix of big-name titles and original content from independent developers. Since then G-Gee has expanded to the US through a partnership with handset maker Kyocera, and now has almost 200 free and paid games in its stable.
Now in a new partnership with Samsung, selected G-Gee game titles will be made available via Game Hub, first in 25 European countries on GALAXY S II handsets and going forward on Samsung devices around the world. Game Hub features a Social Games category and a Premium Games category. G-Gee will provide high quality content including well known console games in the Premium Games category. G-Gee content for Game Hub will be managed by GMO GameCenter’s Korean subsidiary.
“We believe that our partnership with Samsung is the result of a proven record of providing a rich user experience and full developer support” says GMO GameCenter CEO, Naoto Hattori, “We look forward to bringing G-Gee content to Samsung GALAXY S II users.”
