New Joint Venture Company, paperbooya to Develop Smartphone Game Apps

Tokyo – January 23, 2012 – GMO Internet Group company, paperboy&co. in a joint venture with gooya Corporation today established paperbooya, Inc. Then new company will focus on the development and operation of smartphone games and other apps.
paperboy&co. was created is 2003 and today its consumer oriented web services are used by 3.69 million people. (12/2011) The company is also active in the rapidly growing smartphone apps market in both development and operation. Gooya is a web design and systems development company with extensive experience developing smartphone apps.
The partnership between the two companies aims to combine paperboy&co.’s expertise in consumer marketing with gooya’s app development experience, leveraging the two company’s respective strengths to maximize efficiency in the continuously expanding smartphone market.
In the first phase paperbooya will concentrate on iPhone game apps. Going forward the company plans to broaden its focus to include apps other than games.
