INTERNET Number System to be Introduced to OPT CROSS NET Affiliate Advertising Service
Tokyo – May 24, 2007 -- In a partnership between GMO Internet Group company INTERNET Number Corporation and Opt Inc. the Internet Number system that makes easy web site access possible using numbers, will be introduced to OPT CROSS NET on June 1st.
Internet Number by INN is a service that does away with the need for entering complex URLs into a browser address bar and allows registered websites to be accessed simply by entering a number. The new partnership is an affiliate advertising alliance under which advertisers pay according to the number of times a site is accessed via the INTERNET Number published by OPT CROSS NET advertisers. At the same time INN will begin selling OPT CROSS NET advertising to its INTERNET Number customers and agencies.
Publishing Internet Numbers in Advertisements
OPT CROSS NET advertisers can now conveniently direct customers to their web sites using the Internet number system in addition to the existing method of leading customers to their company by telephone. Consumers have easy access to the advertiser’s web site and before making a phone call they can check details, make direct inquiries from the site and place orders. The publications can now receive income based on the number of times a site is accessed as well as the number of incoming calls.
