Global Web Offers Flash® Streaming Video Delivery in Partnership with O-PLUS media
Tokyo – May 29, 2007 – GMO Hosting & Security Group company, Global Web, and O-PLUS media have formed a partnership aimed at building Global Web products for small, medium and SOHO businesses.
The first stage of this project is the CEO Message Video service launched today. The new service incorporates the O-PLUS media Flash® Streaming video distribution service into the Global Web web development service.
In recent years video viewing environment on the Internet has improved dramatically. As a result there has been an increase in video distribution sites and more Internet users are watching videos. Major corporations are putting company commercials and other video content on their websites to improve brand recognition. Video distribution over the Internet has become a new method of public relations. The need is growing among small and medium businesses for video content they can use on their site to build customer satisfaction.
It is against this backdrop that Global Web and O-PLUS has formed an alliance to foster the development of small and medium business growth.
The CEO Message Video Service
The service includes filming, editing, data conversion and distribution of a CEO (or store manager, sales manager etc.) message video for a company web site. This is a feature that allows companies operating a website to create a community feeling and a sense of trust among their visitors that is more likely to lead to user action (placing an order, visiting a store, making an inquiry, making a document request etc.).

The video is delivered by a Flash® movie player embedded into the site so visitors to the site simply press play to quickly and smoothly begin their viewing experience.
Make the first frame of the video a profile shot of the CEO
The first frame of the video will be shown when the video is not playing and can be used as a profile photograph.
