Paperboy&co. Launches SNS Construction Service for Business
Tokyo – May 29, 2007 -- GMO Internet Group company, paperboy&co, the company that operates the SNS construction service Grouptube, announces the launch tomorrow of Horensou, an SNS service with improved security for internal business use.
Launched in March 2006, Grouptube is an original SNS construction service that operates around 4,000 communities. In a survey carried out by goo research over 80% of responses indicated that companies were dissatisfied with internal information sharing*1. A major finding was that companies are looking for IT tools beyond the Internet and e-mail for optimum internal communication. Tacit knowledge, that is knowledge and expertise concerning business tasks and other practical information is particularly difficult to share. Internal-use SNS is now recognized as a new communication tool that solves this problem.
Against this backdrop paperboy&co. has strengthened security features on Grouptube and is now launching Horensou a specialist SNS construction and management service for businesses.

Features of Horensou – The Ultimate Information Sharing Tool for Business
In addition to the standard SNS features that businesses require such as schedule sharing and file sharing, Horensou is filled with tools aimed at increasing business efficiency including functions that let the users take clippings of postings they need, a convenient communication function that shows who has accessed which postings and a survey function. Users can also view the site and post articles and comments from a mobile phone so employees have access to the site even when they are out of the office or on a business trip. Users can form theme-based communities of members with similar interests or form study groups by using the group function and this also serves to strengthen relations between employees.
Horensou is a tool that encourages internal communication in businesses by providing a place where every employee can actively contribute to information sharing.
Horensou Security Features
Horensou has all the basic SNS construction functions but it also includes SSL as a standard feature. SSL encrypts data inside the SNS service enabling personal information and confidential company information to be sent securely. Accumulated information can be saved and necessary SNS data can also be backed up onto DVD-R or other external media.*2

Grouptube is an original SNS construction ASP service that paperboy&co. has been providing since March 8, 2006. The Grouptube service allows even those who have know knowledge of web design or programming to operate an SNS service. No rental server or special software is required! Unlike other SNS services that generally restrict original design, Grouptube features a highly flexible design function that enables users to design original SNS.
