GMO Internet Group Launches Cryptoassets
Exchange “Z.com EX” in Thailand

Bangkok, Thailand - February 22, 2021 - GMO-Z.com Cryptonomics (Thailand) Co., Ltd. has successfully launched its cryptoassets exchange platform Z.com EX (ex.z.com) on February 22, 2021. The exchange has already listed six major cryptocurrencies: Bitcoin, Ethereum, Ripple, Litecoin, Bitcoin Cash, and Stellar. Z.com EX is available via web-based access as well as a mobile application (both iOS and Android, from late March 2021).
　Thailand has positioned itself as one of the most promising countries for cryptocurrency businesses. After the enactment of the Emergency Decree on Digital Asset Businesses B.E. 2561 (2018), which legally defines cryptocurrency and digital tokens as cryptoassets, the country has been developing Digital Baht (national cryptocurrency) and conducting pilot experiments through the Bank of Thailand. As for the cryptoassets trading volumes, the country holds a striking record with the total trading value exceeding 100 billion yen per month.
　Z.com Ex offers sufficient liquidity with its secure, high-performance data storage center (cloud server) located in Thailand. Customer assets and personal information are securely stored inside the world’s most secure server.
　Z.com EX has obtained authorization from Thailand’s Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and the Ministry of Finance (MOF) to operate the cryptoassets exchange business.
