Numbers of teleworking implementation status

GMO Internet Group has shifted to working from home promptly on Sunday, January 26, 2020, in preparation for the contagion of COVID-19 in Japan, and from the following day, it has been checking actual work conditions and health conditions of the partners (employees) of each group company on a daily basis. GMO Internet Group checks the actual work conditions and health conditions of all partners every day, excluding weekends and national holidays, using a safety confirmation tool. Each partner must report the following three points: (1) whether he/she will report to his/her offices to do the work or work from home; (2) abnormal body temperature (if the body temperature is 37.5 °C or higher, he/she is prohibited from reporting to his/her office to do the work); and (3) abnormal taste (if the taste is abnormal, he/she is prohibited from reporting to his/her office to do the work). GMO Internet Group aggregates the results every day and uses them to consider the measures against COVID-19. GMO Internet Group will announce the weekly average of the above results as the teleworking implementation status.

GMO Internet Group's attendance levels

GMO Internet Group not only takes measures in response to requests from the central and local governments such as prefectures, etc. but also establishes criteria unique to the group to protect the lives of partners and continue services and business activities (https://www.gmo.jp/pdf/info/news/gmo_news_49.pdf ), and the attendance level is changed according to the criteria. GMO Internet Group sets the attendance level between 1 and 5 by taking into account the social situation (rules set by the central and local governments, scale of infection, and medical environment) as a whole, and the attendance level for each location of the group is defined based on the criteria unique to the group. Regarding the attendance level in the future, GMO Internet Group will take into account the external environment and make decisions based on the criteria unique to the group.

Supporting vaccination at GMO Internet

GMO Internet has officially decided on Thursday, May 13, 2021, to support all of its partners who will be vaccinated against the novel coronavirus as part of the measures against COVID-19.

(1) Partners can leave the office to be vaccinated against the novel coronavirus during working hours.
(2) Partners who are vaccinated can take special leave if they become ill and if this is believed to be caused by the vaccination.

The above two measures will be applied when vaccination against the novel coronavirus will be launched. Each group company will introduce similar measures and GMO Internet Group is considering the implementation of the in-house vaccination moving forward.
