Tokyo, Japan – December 9, 2021 – GMO Internet Group (https://www.gmo.jp/en/ ) will start to make efforts in FY2022 to offer the highest level of salary ("No. 1 salaries") in each industry and region as a result of enhanced productivity mainly due to reducing the future rent and introducing RPA, AI, and robot, without increasing the floor area in accordance with the increase in staff numbers mainly due to remote work, based on the ongoing growth of its business.
Through this, GMO Internet Group will construct mechanisms to maximize the "cycle of smiles" of customers, shareholders, and partners by offering No. 1 salaries as a result of enhanced productivity by gathering advanced partners - from Japan and abroad - that will play important roles in creating a company that achieves hundreds of years of growth.
GMO Internet Group will launch the “710 Program” that offers an annual income of JPY 7.10 M - the highest level of salary within Japan - to new graduates in FY2023 as one of the measures to accelerate the above efforts.

■Background of launching “710 Program”

GMO Internet Group has started remote work earliest in Japan in January 2020 in response to the spread of the novel coronavirus infection, and while flexibly adjusting the attendance levels that are uniquely determined according to the situation at that time, we have accumulated know-how on new working style over 22 months.

In particular, we have promoted the introduction of RPA, AI, and robot for operations that can be improved in efficiency - identified while continuing remote work - and have endeavored to improve productivity. By continuing to work in a hybrid system that combines attendance and remote work at a fixed ratio, we will also reduce the future rent without increasing the floor area in accordance with the increase in staff numbers.

In GMO Internet Group, the growth rate of operating profit has greatly exceeded the growth rate of the number of partners, and the salary per person is increasing year by year. We have decided to put effort into offering No. 1 salaries by allocating the portion exceeding 18% of the operating profit margin to human resources investment as a result of driving the productivity improvement of our partners by further reducing the future rent and promoting the introduction of RPA, AI, and robot.

■Launching “710 Program” that offers No. 1 salaries to new graduates in FY2023

The Group companies will launch the “710 Program” that offers an annual income of JPY 7.10 M(*1) - the highest level of salary within Japan - to new graduates in FY2023 as one of the measures to accelerate the above efforts.

After hiring new graduates in 2023, for the time being, all new graduates hired by GMO Internet Group companies will be based on the “710 Program”.

This program is looking for: STEAM Human Resources (see below) who have and can utilize a high degree of technical skills, knowledge, and abilities; and Next Generation Leaders who will play important roles in creating a business group that achieves hundreds of years of growth.

For those who have been hired through the “710 Program”, we will provide training opportunities such as challenging work and training programs for skill development and promote growth as human resources who will lead GMO Internet Group in the future.

The annual income of new graduates will be set at JPY 7.10 M for two years after they are hired but it will be re-evaluated in the third year, so the above income should be utilized for future career development.

Existing partners can also participate in the "710 Program", so they can aim for a further leap in the career they have built so far.
