The Materiality Identification Process

  1. STEP 1 Defining Ideal Future Vision

We studied “Ideal Future Vision” based on “Venture Spirit Declaration” and “55-Year Plan” for the realization of these goals.
The results of the study were discussed and approved by the Sustainability Promotion Committee and the Board of Directors. As a result, the ideal future vision of the company was defined.

  2. STEP 2 Selecting issues

After defining the ideal future vision , we seleced social issues that are highly relevant to our business, based on international sustainability indicators such as ESG megatrends and the GRI standards, taking into account the social trends surrounding our company.

  3. STEP 3 Assessing Materiality

We evaluated the selected social issues based on opportunities and risks from the perspectives of both “importance to stakeholders” and “importance to the GMO Internet Group.
As a result of the evaluation, we investigated the materiality among the more important social issues.

  4. STEP 4 Identification of Materiality

The selected materialities were identified with the approval of the Sustainability Committee and the Company’s Board of Directors as the Company’s materiality.
